Cristina Gabor - Owner/Physical Therapist

A last-year resident of Leningrad University Medical School in Russia, Cristina immigrated to the United States to pursue her dream of furthering her education.  She has a multicultural background and is fluent in four languages. Cristina graduated from one of the finest physical therapy programs in the United States, Mount Saint Mary’s College, where she was selected to the Dean’s List each year.

After graduation, Gabor worked in a broad array of physical therapy settings, from inpatient/Hospital to home health. Her philosophy includes a commitment to constant learning and evolution. To that end, she continually attends seminars to update her knowledge-base and skills.

In 1997 Ms. Gabor founded Orthosport Physical Therapy – Culver City, and from the inception of the company, the focus has been to motivate employees and provide exceptional customer service. Orthosport Physical Therapy is a renowned teaching facility, training future Doctors of Physical Therapy for the finest universities in the country, guiding and helping hundreds of individuals to achieve their goals to become Physical Therapists and Doctors. Cristina is also a dog lover who enjoys nature, travel, food, and networking.

Phillip Dang, Physical Therapist

Phillip Dang, PT, DPT, was born in Riverside, CA, and grew up in Chino Hills, CA. Growing up he had a passion for all sports, most notably, basketball and the home team Lakers. His passion for sports led him to attend California State University-Fullerton, where he obtained his B.S in Kinesiology in 2015. Upon graduation, he worked as a PT Aide at an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Anaheim Hills for 1.5 years. Soon after, he attended Emory University’s PT program, one of the top PT programs in the nation. During his time at Emory University, he underwent clinical rotations at Mayo Clinic, UCSF, One on One PT, Concentra, Sharp Memorial, and Paradise Valley Hospital developing his skills and knowledge in a variety of settings and various patient populations. During his free time he loves to spend time with family and friends, hike, play sports, weight lift, perform yoga, and any activity that involves the outdoors and staying active.

Patricia Mejia - Physical Therapist

Patricia Mejia, PT, DPT, is originally from Culver City and holds an undergraduate degree from UCLA and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from California State University Long Beach. She also has over 10 years of experience teaching Yoga. Growing up she had a passion for playing sports, especially soccer, and was first introduced to the benefits of Physical Therapy and Yoga when she went through rehabilitation for two ACL tears while still in high school. After many years living in New York City, she has returned to her hometown and now lives in Culver City with her husband and her two daughters, and she loves being involved in the local community again. In her free time she enjoys running, biking, hiking, travel and exploring different parts of L.A. with her kids.

Enrique Mendoza - Physical Therapist

Enrique Mendoza, PT, DPT, was born in Vista, CA. He attended Point Loma Nazarene University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. While at Point Loma Nazarene University he played on the men’s soccer team. He then earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University in 2008. While in graduate school Enrique conducted research in a new electrode current design to improve outcomes in the treatment of chronic non-healing wounds in patients with diabetes. Enrique has attended several continuing education courses and completed a yearlong manual orthopedic course. He continues to remain active in continuing his education.  In his spare time, Enrique enjoys playing soccer, running, hiking and snow boarding.

Michael Rose - Physical Therapist

Michael Rose, PT, DPT, received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Bachelors of Arts in Biology, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Michael has spent over ten years working in the outpatient physical therapy setting and, through his clinical affiliations, has worked in several outpatient physical therapy and pediatric clinics. Michael Rose has a strong commitment to continuing education and has been an avid golfer his entire life and became a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor by the Titleist Performance Institute in January 2013 and a certified Medical Professional level 2 in 2017. His goal is to empower patients to play pain-free golf, or simply return to the game of golf. During his free time, when he is not in the clinic or on the golf course, he can be found rock climbing, surfing, snowboarding, or teaching scuba diving as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.

Jessica Rodriquez - Pilates Instructor

Jessica was born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Exercise and Health Science.  Jessica joined Orthosport in 2007 as a Physical Therapy Aide.  In 2012, she completed an intense certification program to become a Pilates Instructor through the Physical Mind Institute.  Jessica was trained by one of LA’s top Pilates Instructors, Maria Leone.  Her extensive experience working with patients, and the associated rehabilitation process, has contributed greatly to her development as one of the finest Pilates-base rehab instructor in the business.  She knows precisely how to modify and tailor Pilates training to the individual needs of patients.  Jessica is a professional and fun loving individual who creates an uplifting environment for challenging workouts!
