Cristina Gabor, PT

A last year resident of Leningrad University Medical School in Russia, Cristina immigrated to the United States in 1985. She graduated from one of the finest physical therapy programs in the United States, Mount Saint Mary’s College, and was selected to the Dean’s list each year. With the unique and preferred blend of a medical background, coupled with her renown handling techniques in therapy, Cristina’s success was evident early on. Committed to quality and excellence, she graduated from a variety of the most prestigious, long term, postgraduate courses, specializing in progressive manual therapy. Cristina Gabor is currently an educator on the staff of Mount Saint Mary’s College. For the past several years, she has been a mentor to physical therapy residents from all across America. Cristina has a multicultural background and is fluent in four languages.

Cristina’s blends her knowledge from Medical School in Russia with American Physical Therapy education to create a unique approach and appreciation when treating patients with muscular skeletal pain and dysfunction.  Cristina’s goal is to not just “control” the episodes of pain and discomfort but to help her patients create an individual “plan for life” to manage their condition, preventing setbacks.  Orthosport PT implements the latest scientific research and treatments techniques.  We are proud to say that our clinic is a renown teaching facility for future Doctors of Physical Therapy by the finest universities in the country.

Ted Steben, MPT

Ted Steben has been a part of the Orthosport family since December of 2003. He enjoys the opportunity he has as a physical therapist to help others stay physically active and healthy. He attended Occidental College in Los Angeles from 1995-99 and majored in Kinesiology. He then attended California State University of Long Beach earning his Masters degree in Physical Therapy. He works closely with USC as a clinical instructor for USC physical therapy students. He also works closely with Sony Pictures Entertainment as their physical therapist for all of their employee sports leagues.

Enrique Mendoza, DPT

Enrique Mendoza was born in Vista, CA. He attended Point Loma Nazarene University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. While at Point Loma Nazarene University he played on the men’s soccer team. He then earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University in 2008. While in graduate school Enrique conducted research in a new electrode current design to improve outcomes in the treatment of chronic non-healing wounds in patients with diabetes.  Enrique has attended several continuing education courses and completed a yearlong manual orthopedic course. He continues to remain active in continuing his education.  In his spare time, Enrique enjoys playing soccer, running, hiking and snow boarding.

Kenton Wan, DPT

Kenton Wan was born in Fresno, CA. He attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. He then received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco State University. While in graduate school, Kenton conducted research analyzing stride mechanics in recreational runners using a 2D approach, and was mentored by one of foremost authorities in myofascial decompression. He enjoys treating patients of all ages to help them reach their functional and life goals. When he’s not helping patients, Kenton loves hiking through the great outdoors, talking about life and eating really great food.

Lane Killian, Physical Therapy Assistant

Lane Killian, was raised in Venice beach California. He attended UC Santa Barbara, where he majored in Bio-Psychology, and minored in Health Sciences. He then attended UCLA’s center for Pre-Hospital care, where he became certified  as an EMT-1. Lane served as a 911 provider, eventually returning to UCLA to earn his NREMT-Paramaedic. He became licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2016, joining the Orthosport team soon after. Lane enjoys cycling, skateboarding, hiking, martial arts, as well as many other activities.

Jessica Rodriguez, BS

Jessica Rodriguez was born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Exercise and Health Science.  Jessica joined Orthosport in 2007 as a Physical Therapy Aide.  In 2012, she completed an intense certification program to become a Pilates Instructor through the Physical Mind Institute.  Jessica was trained by one of LA’s top Pilates Instructors, Maria Leone.  Her six years experience working with patients, and the associated rehabilitation process, has contributed greatly to her development as one of the finest Pilates-base rehab instructor in the business.  She knows precisely how to modify and tailor Pilates training to the individual needs of her patients.  Jessica is a professional and fun loving individual who creates an uplifting environment for challenging workouts.
